Dr Hall has been a pioneer in modern day orthodontics and education. He was the first dentist and orthodontist to use Invisalign outside the United States, brought micro implants to the Australian shores and was one of the first in Australia to utilize the Herbst appliance. Dr Hall has an extreme interest in practice management and efficiencies in practice and was instrumental in bringing the leading orthodontic practice management software Orthotrac to Australia in 1994. Dr Roslyn Franklin founded Amalgamate in 2015. Roslyn is a dentist and Infection Prevention & Control Professional committed to supporting dental practices. Roslyn’s early clinical practice included working in government and private dental practices. Roslyn then stepped back from the dental profession and worked as a trainer and assessor for dental assistants and then as a compliance coordinator in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. On re-entering the dental industry in 2015, Roslyn wanted to make a difference without necessarily going back ‘on-the-tools’. Combining her experience in dentistry, training and compliance (not to mention her love of regulations, order and paperwork), Amalgamate was created.
Roslyn has continuously maintained her Dental Board of Australia and Australian Dental Association registrations to keep her skills current. Her passion is infection control, and in 2018 she completed a Graduate Certificate in Infection Prevention & Control at Griffith University. She is an active member of the Australasian College of Infection Prevention and Control.
